An initiative to educate the 43 new students of 1st BA Criminology on Cyber Security was taken up by EyeQ.Net. The Key Speaker Mr. Mohammed Shiekh Nihal enlightened the students on the various types of crimes that one performs while hiding behind an electronic device. His briefing included the devious means where one could fall victim to Cyber Crime. From the fraudulent communications of phishing schemes to morphing performed through video calls, he touched upon every minute click one could make on a computer that affect violate their privacy and reputation. He also provided the students with information on the different types of hackers present in society and the roles they play in it. Throughout the session he provided us with the necessary measures that every average computer user must abide by in order to prevent the unfavourable encounter of malware, bugs, or cyber frauds. The program proved to be highly beneficial, covering a wide range of cyber knowledge necessary for a student to navigate their priorities safely, especially in the virtual world.
