Dean – Academics

Dean - Academics is in charge of academic programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dean - Academics is the main Coordinator for College Annual Day and Convocation Day.


  • To serve the learners with love in equipping them with personal and professional competencies to lead a fulfilling life and to bring about social transformation.
  • Optimizing scores in Criterion I - Curricular aspects and Criterion II - Teaching-Learning & Evaluation by working in collaboration with heads of all departments to secure a high CGPA.
  • Leading the Institute to be the topper in the ranking survey conducted by the NIRF, Outlook, Hindu, and other Higher Education-related surveys.


  • To offer new degree programmes, value-added courses, certificate courses, and relevant trending courses every year in consultation with the HOD of all the UG and PG programmes towards imparting transferable skills to learners.
  • To facilitate syllabi revision for all the programmes at least once every three years to promote employability, entrepreneurship, and skills development among learners.
  • To promote knowledge acquisition, the formation of appropriate attitudes through Continuous Comprehensive Assessment using creative teaching methodologies.
  • To organize programmes through Fora and Cells by working out an annual plan with its coordinators on themes relevant to professional ethics, gender, human values, sustainable development, and emerging concerns.
  • To access benefits of new schemes and programmes by MHRD, UGC, and other bodies/sources.
  • To form a social media and communication team to augment student strength (admission).
  • To facilitate special courses/programmes for advanced and slow learners through experiential and participative learning.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Updating the Principal and the Vice-Principal once a month on the assigned responsibilities.
  • Furnishing documents (With the Heads of Departments), updating (At the Dean’s Desk), submitting (IQAC Meeting), and uploading (on the college website) the documents of all the above.
