As a part of academic curriculum, the second year students of the Post Graduate department of Criminology and Forensic Science, Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice Specialization had visited Family Service Agency, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya Mangaluru on 18th September 2021 at 11am to gain first-hand knowledge about the Structure and functions of Family Service Agency.

Dr. Jecinta D’Souza, Director of the agency addressed the students and gave a brief note on the historical development and structure of the organization. Ms. Shwetal K explained about the functions, the services provided by the agency and the process of counselling women and children those who approached with various issues. The students got to know about the target group and also the awareness programmes they conduct in the society pertaining to the women and child issues. She also shared the challenges faced during protection and rehabilitation of the clients
