C.D. - Forum for Sustainable Development Events

PG Department of social work, Sustainable Development Forum, 2nd year MSW students conducted a thematic presentation on the topic “Role of Gender Equality in Sustainable Development’ as part of the forum activity on 23rd November 2022 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in Maria Paiva Hall.

‘The programme started with the prayer by Ms.Eirene Durom. After the Welcome note and theme of the presentation was introduced by Mr.Elwis Lopes, the forum coordinator.

The presentation highlighted the concepts of sex, gender and sexual orientation and its differences in promoting a sustainable lifestyle in communities. The session included participants from the departments of Criminology, Counseling and Social Work of the Postgraduate wing of the college at Maria Paiva Hall. The session concluded with a rapid quiz round on gender awareness. From each department students gave their feedback on the overall presentation .The presentation was highly applauded by the audience.

Mr.Yadhu Krishnan proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem. A total of 150 members including students and PG dept Faculty were present for the programme.
