NSS (National Service Scheme) - Events

Ten NSS volunteers participated in a three day workshop on ‘Self Awareness and Social Analysis’ organised by Samvada Youth Resource Centre, Mangalore from 11th to 13th August, 2023 at CODP hall, near Paduva College, Nanthoor. The workshop entailed different forms of art like singing, acting etc., to bring out self awareness among the youth. Various sessions based on the topics of gender discrimination, importance of mental health, reservations for SC/ST and socio-economic differences were conducted. The participants were also taken for the screening of a tulu movie ‘Koramma’ and were given an opportunity to have a discussion with cast of this movie. The three days of this workshop provided the volunteers with a lot of awareness of themselves and the society.
