Holistic Well Being (Counselling) Forum Events

A extension programme on the topic “Together we build ” was organized by Department of MSc counselling in association with Prasanna Technologies Private Ltd, Kodialbail, Mangaluru facilitated by Adarsh, Anusha, Jusaira, Lishana, Nasreena , Saphia and Sneha, II MSc Counselling students on 18th February 2023. The 35 employees of Prasanna Technologies Private Ltd, Kodialbail, Mangaluru actively participated in the session.

The objectives of the session was to assess participant’s social and interpersonal skills , to identify interpersonal styles , to identify appropriate social behavior in work place and to train participants with assertiveness techniques.

The facilitators conducted an assessment on their interpersonal and social skills and identified their interpersonal styles. Facilitators explored through the participants about the socially appropriate and inappropriate behavior.

The facilitators trained the participants with assertiveness techniques to clearly communicate about their needs and wants in the workplace through role playing exercise. The group members were able to relate to the content presented and shared their experience. The outcome of this session was that the participants became aware of their interpersonal styles which influences the way they think and behave. They gained knowledge about various assertiveness techniques that could be useful in workplace settings.
