Forensis Forum Events

Forensis Forum of the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organised ‘Boo-tiful creations’ – A Costume Designing and Face Painting Competition on the theme Halloween held on 27th October 2023 at 3pm. The main objective of this activity was to foster teamwork and cooperation, to provide a platform for the participants to show their creativity, to find innovative and sustainable solutions in the designing of the costumes.

The students were divided into 4 groups combining both first and second years. One student from each group was chosen as the model for the costume designing. The students were given 40 minutes to design the costumes, makeup and prepare for the presentation. Further, a ramp walk was done by all the models followed by the explanation of the theme by the team members. The activity was judged on the basis of presentation, creativity and style quotient. Mr. Sandeep U, Physical Director and Librarians of the college Ms. Shanthi Rebello and Ms. Ancilla Stephanie D’ Cunha were the judges for the competition.

The first place was won by Group Temperance Brennan, second place by Group Sherlock Holmes and the third place by Group Perry Mason. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Saritha D’Souza, Head of the Post Graduate Department of CFS and Ms. Athira V. J., Assistant. Professor of the Department cum Faculty Co-ordinator of Forensis Forum. Ms. Aishwarya Satya, President and Ms. Nashwa Iqbal, Secreatry of Forensis Forum had taken initiative to organise the event. The students gave positive feedback regarding the event where they expressed that the competition gave an opportunity to showcase their creativity and to effectively utilize the available resources. Altogether (31), 25 students and 6 faculties were part of the event. The event concluded at 4.30 pm with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Aishwarya Satya. Ms. Jyothsna, student of second year MSc CFS cum Media Coordinator, compiled the report of the event.
