The Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized a session on ‘Scope of Research in the Field of Cyber Forensics’ for the First year students of MSc CFS held on 24th February 2023 at 2pm in the Lecture Room -3 of the department. Mr. Chirag Suvarna, Cyber Security Analyst, Cyber Sapiens, Mangaluru and an Alumnus of the department was the resource person.

Mr. Chirag addressed the students about the different researches that can be conducted in the field of Cyber Forensics and its importance in the profession. He also gave an insight into the relevant topics and explained methodology, tools and techniques of its analysis. He individually asked the students about the research topic chosen for the study as a part of academic curriculum and gave suggestions to execute it effectively. He also shared his experiences during his professional life and brought awareness on the various cybercrimes that take place. Students expressed that the session was helpful to understand the various topics that can be taken up for research. It was an interactive session where the students enthusiastically participated by asking questions and cleared their doubts on the theme. Altogether, 17 students were present for the session. The session concluded at 4pm with a vote of thanks.
