On 18/8/2018 Friday Along with Mr Kishor Athavar , Community Development and other specialization students went to visit’ MANGALORE CITY CORPORATION’ at Vamanjoor to learn about the technique of Waste Management. Here scholars observed the different stages of waste segregation in order to make manure. Here the segregation is done by machines called ‘REJECT CONVEYOR’. Through this process on 10%becomes manure the rest is decomposed in to land fills. Where the waste is dumped and then covered with soil.
We must think twice before waste anything .Segregation at Vamanjoor is a lot harder due to the quantity of waste. Need to find more environmental friendly solutions to protect our earth.
