On August 29th, the IQAC, NSS Unit, YRC and Department of Physical Education conducted a program on the occasion of National Sports Day at 9:30 am in the Auditorium. All the students took part in the program. The program started with a prayer led by the students of 1st bsw. Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand Singh was honored by Dr. Sandra S Lobo NAAC Coordinator, Asst Prof Sarik Ankith Dean Student Progression, Prof. Cecilla F Goveas IQAC Coordinator, Asst. Prof Obanath NSS Programme officer, and the faculty members. Later the biography of major Dhyan Chand was given by Diya Vinoy of III BA, as well as a power point presentation was shown to the audience. After that, the winners of "DYNAMIGHT" were facilitated. Deepthi Moras the Sports Secretary called out the oath and all the students took the oath of the Fit India Movement. The program concluded with the national anthem.
