a) The validation of the draft guidelines of National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) on Decentralised Micro planning for the fishermen communities in Nana Layaja, Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat ((August 2016-17).
Background; The NCSCM, Chennai of Ministry of Forestry, Environment and climate Change( MoFE&CC, Government of India had approached the institute to carry out a validation of the draft guidelines of NCSCM on decentralised micro planning for the fishermen communities in selected villages (21) in the Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat in August 2016. Consequently, the proposal for the study was submitted but actual sanction for the proposal was given to take up the study in one (1) village in Gulf of Kutch in the month of April 4th 2017. Roshni conducted the validation study in the Village Nana Layaja, Mandvi, Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat in the month of May 2017 and submitted its recommendations to the draft guidelines of NCSCM in August 2017.
