Sociology-Economics Forum Events

The Sociology and Economic Forum of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore organised a half-day Workshop on Newspaper Analysis and Photo Journalism on 14 May 2022. The workshop attended by 35 BA students was facilitated by Prof. Joselyn T Lobo (Retd) Associate Professor & Dean of the BSW Department.

The participatory workshop covered areas like Anatomy of the Newspaper and exercises pertaining to news stories and contents of a newspaper. The students were provided with guidelines to prepare an assignment on photo journalism and submit it at a later date.

The workshop, organised in association with Group for Institution Development (GRID), a training organisation, was appreciated by the students who actively participated in the activities. Ms. Cecelia Farida, HOD of the Economics Department coordinated the programme.
