School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Sahayog Forum, Department of B.S.W a session on Prevention of Child Abuse was organised for the students of class V of Rosario Higher Primary School and St. Ursula Kannada Medium class III, IV and V on 16th September, 2019. The total strength of the programme was 51 students. The students who were part of this programme were Ms.Shereen Angel, Ms. Anima Minz and Sidrah Ali Khan.

The Resource Person was Mrs. Vani Nayak , the Programme Coordinator of Inchara Foundation. She has worked with HIV affected people and De-Addiction Centre as a counsellor and owns an NGO in Shivamogga for orphans.
She interacted with the students on the topic of child sexual abuse. The students actively participated in Focused Group Discussion. The Resource Person spoke to the students on safe and unsafe touch. She instructed the students to do three things if they felt uncomfortable when someone touched them. NO, GO, TELL. She spoke to them about the five important people they could contact: Mother, Father, Teacher, Granddparents and Police. The students responded in an enthusiastic manner.
