NSS (National Service Scheme) - Events

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Youth Red Cross unit, NSS unit, SC/ST Cell and IQAC of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru in association with Father Muller Hospital, Kankanady, Mangaluru organised a Blood Donation Camp on Wednesday, 21st June 2023 at College Auditorium from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The programme started with a Prayer Song by NSS Volunteers. Ms. Ifra NSS volunteer welcomed the gathering. The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Kirana Pailoor, Associate Professor and Incharge Blood Bank Officer, Department of Pathology; Father Muller’s Medical College. The Chief Guest explained the importance of Blood donation and also encouraged the students to imbibe regular Yoga practice which will help to lead a healthy life. Master Abhinava Krishna, a young Yoga Expert by his different Yoga Asanas motivated the students to practice Yoga for a healthy and positive life. Prof. Vineetha K Registrar (Evaluation) delivered the presidential address. On this occasion Prof. Cecilia Farida Goveas IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Anusuya Kamath YRC Programme Officer, Mr. Obanatha NSS Programme Officer, Mrs. Veena B K Assistant NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Sandeep Ullal, Physical Education Director and other Faculty members were present. Staff, students, Parents and General Public very enthusiastically participated in the camp and donated 45 units of blood. The Master of the Ceremony was Ms. Ifra, NSS Volunteer.
