LIT Meet Events

The UG Department of English, organised a Lecture on "Equip the skills for NEP (National Educational Policy) and soft skills on 6th November 2021 at 10.30 AM. The resource person for the lecture was Ms. Kavya P Hegde, Assistant professor, Department of PG studies in Commerce, University Evening College, Mangalore. 75 students of both BA and BSW participated in the online lecture which was conducted on the platform of google meet. The lecture was compèred by Aishwarya Prem of 3rd Year BA and Rohit Rodrigo from 3rd BA introduced the resource person. Melissa from final BA led the prayer.

Ms. Kavya Hegde explained everything that the participants need to know about the new National Education policy. From how the curriculums have changed to what job interviews entail. She told how different the education system has become and that it is now similar to international systems of education. She also told how it differs from the previous education policy.

She also discussed about the soft skills and the hard skills and how it is relevant in our educational journey. This session was very insightful and informative. All the students enjoyed the session since it was an interactive one and student’s queries were answered very patiently. Ms Zainab from final BA thanked everyone
