Day 1:COASTAL SECURITY POLICE STATION,VASCO

The Final Year Criminology students visited the coastal security police station Vasco Goa. Shri. Alvito F Rodriguez, Police Sub Inspector briefed the studentS about the coastal police station and their functions. He also informed that there were 6 coastal police stations in Goa.

The Vasco coastal police station safe guards the coast line up to 60km. They have two 12 tonne interceptor boats which they use for patrolling which happens 24 hours every day. Their main function was to check for illegal activities like smuggling of drugs, arms and ammunition, illegal sand mining, cross border terrorism etc.
