An Extension activity was organised by Department of M Sc counselling, School of Social work Roshni nilaya, Mangalore for St Raymond’s PU college, Vamanjoor, Mangalore.

The session was facilitated by 28 second year M Sc counselling students on August 25th 2023 from 11.45 am to 12.45 pm for 187 participants from the commerce stream of the PU college.

The objective of the session was to share information about study skills for better learning and to equip students with study skills to improve memory and learning.
The group session was started with an ice breaker and then the topic of the day was introduced after which the students were educated on some of the study techniques such as mind-mapping, re-writing, flashcards, flowchart, chunking and various other methods, which were also integrated with exercises conducted thereafter. The session was well received by the students as they got a chance to learn some study techniques which they could make use of in academic areas of learning. The session was concluded with a short brief regarding the topic and feedback from the students. It was a great opportunity for the students to learn techniques to enhance their study skills and further work to achieve their academic goals
