In the BA degree programme, Computer Applications is offered as an optional subject along with Psychology and English Literature. In the main laboratory, the Computer Department has 25 computers. Computer Applications is not a grant-in-aid subject, and it is funded entirely by the Institution's management.

An introduction to computer systems, programming in C, RDBMS principles and ORACLE, programming in Visual Basic.Net, Web Design (HTML, JavaScript, PHP) and Software Engineering, Entrepreneurship Development, Practical in Web Design & Tally, Data Communication and Networking, and e-Commerce were among the topics covered in the curriculum. Programming skills in C, VB.net, and Java are taught to Computer Application students. The students create e-content as part of their project work. A few e-contents on computer fundamentals, multimedia, computer fundamentals, subjects related to abnormal psychology, and English literature have been created by students.

Besides, regular classes for the BA students, the faculty impart basic computer literacy, web designing, accounting package, graphic designing and basic animation by offering short term and diploma courses. From 2012-2013 to 2015-2016, a few MSW students received after-class computer literacy instruction. During the academic year 2015-2016, B.Voc students benefitted as well. Students from other universities, professionals, and housewives, in addition to college students, have enrolled in a few classes.

The Department of Computer Applications was closed due to a variety of factors, including financial constraints due to a lack of University grants, faculty workload issues because this subject was not a grant-in-aid subject, and fewer students enrolling in the subject. From the academic year 2015-2016, admissions to this subject were closed, and the last batch of students who studied Computer Applications was from the 2014-2017 BA batch.
