Youth Red Cross Events

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Unit organized a ‘First Aid Workshop’ on 2nd July 2022 for YRC volunteers at Seminar Hall, in School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya Mangalore.

The workshop was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and invoking the blessing of Almighty. Ms. Shahama, YRC volunteer, welcomed the gathering followed by Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K, Registrar (Evaluation) enlightened the volunteers with her words. She emphasised on importance of students in building a healthy and a just society. Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, YRC Programme Officer welcomed the Resource Person, Mrs. Gloria Jennifer Rodrigues, Counsellor cum Nurse at SDM College. Resource Person excellently elucidated regarding various areas of first aid including heart attack, cardiac arrest, spinal injury, fractures and snake bites. The audience was kept interested through presentations and demonstrations, which increased the productivity of the programme. Ms.Nuha Rukhiya, YRC volunteer was the host of the day. YRC Volunteers actively participated in the session. Ms. Sheeja Fathima YRC volunteer concluded the day with a vote of thanks.

Total of 52 volunteers were benefitted from the workshop.
