The Sociology-Economics forum ,PSY forum and NSS unit of the college jointly organised a Webinar on the topic "Stay Away to Stay Safe From Addiction"- an awareness Programme for the students of the college on Wednesday July 1, 2020.

Ms. Cecilia F. Goveas the NSS Officer of the College and Head of the Department of Economics delivered the welcome address. Ms. Donna Sharon, 2nd Year BA student invoked God’s blessings

Principal of the College Dr. Juliet C.J. in her opening remarks appreciated the initiative taken by the forums to organise such a webinar for the students. Ms. Sandra Lobo, Head of the Department of Psychology, introduced the Resource Person Dr. Rameela Shekhar, Mental Health Professional , Manashanthi , Mangaluru.

Dr. Rameela Shekhar addressed the students about how they could stay away from addiction and also on how they could help others too. She said better Knowledge is necessary for better care

The session was followed by an interaction among all. Dr.Rameela Shekhar clarified the doubts of the students related to different forms of addiction. Dr. Kiran Prasad B. Head of the Department of Sociology, proposed the vote of thanks.
A total of 89 students belonging to different departments of the College attended the Webinar which was hosted on the platform of Google Meet.
