Dr. Flossy Rayappan, Assoc. Prof and Physical Director, has been awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Physical education from the Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai. Topic : “Isolated And Combined Effect Of Yogic And Pranayama Practices On Selected Physiological, Psychological, Immunological Variables Among HIV Infected Persons”.
- School of Social Work organized Mangalore University Inter-Collegiate Yogasana Competition for Men and Women on 24th August 2015. The women’s team of our College secured the First place.
- Four students were selected for intervarsity competition. Ms. Shruthi, Ms. Sangeetha, Ms. Divyabharathi and Ms. Dhanyashree represented the Mangalore University Yogasana team..Ms Shruthi (I M,Sc Psychology) secured the Individual championship in Yogasana.
- Students of School of Social Work participated in the Dasara District level Badminton (Mangala Stadium Indoor court) tournament held on 21st September 2015, the College Women team secured the second place.
- The College conducted Rural Sports (Kesarugadde) on September 6, 2015 at Allipade Bantwal Taluk. Competitions like Running race, Relay, Treasure Hunt, Tug-of-war, Volleyball, Throwball, Three legged Race were conducted. It was a very unique experience for the urban students. We thank Mr. Mithun (I MSW) who organized and sponsored this event.
- Annual Sports Day was organised for the PG and UG students on 30th January 2016 at 8.30a.m. Police Ground, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru. Dr. Olinda Pereira, Director of Vishwas declared open the Sports Day and reminded the students to keep up the sportsmanship. Various track and field events were organised and the winners were felicitated.
