The School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya had a unique opportunity of working the Mangalore University Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament for Women 2021-22, on 25th and 26th March 2022, held at St.Aloysius College Centenary Ground Mangalore.

The Event was inaugurated by Ceremony was grand by D. Vedavyas Kamath MLA, Mangalore City South, Karnataka. Chief Guests Ms. Shraddha S Naik National level bodybuilder, Power lifter & Weightlifter, the Guest of Honour was Dr. Kishore Kumar C.K Registrar, Mangalore University, Rev.Fr.Dr. Praveen Martis S.J Principal, St. Aloysius College, Mangalore and Sri. Lancy Carlo President, Lions Club Mangalore Balmatta, were present. The Occasion was Presided on the occasion was Dr. Meena Juliet Monteiro, Assistant Professor & Dean (Department of PG Studies) School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya. Thirteen teams Participated and Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar emerged as Winners, Alva’s College Moodbidri won the Runners up, Govt First Grade College Virajpet Madikeri bagged the first Runners up, School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya won the Second Runners up.

Best Player of the Tournament – Ms. Shanthini from ALVA’S College Moodbidri
Best Defender - Ms. Lavanya from Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar
Best Goal Keeper- Ms. Krithika from Govt First Grade College Virajpet Madikeri.

The president on the occasion was Dr. Jacinta D’Souza Former Principal School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Prizes were distributed and the Convener & Assistant Professor Mr.Sandeep Ullal Dept. of. Physical Education School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya extended his gratitude to all who made this possible and also successful. The hosts for the occasion were Ms.Suman Attavar, student Union President & her Team.
