The Centre of Internationl Academic Network organized an International Symposium on “Relevance of Social Work Theory and Practicum” on 03rd Nov. 2022, for the Indian and Norway students who hail from Volda university to give an understanding of Functions of Schools of Social work in India from Theoretical and practicum perspectives. The Programme organized by the Dr.Jenis Mary, Director CIAN. began with a prayer song followed by Indian classical welcome dance. Key Note Address was given by Prof. Vineetha Rai. Prof. Eveleen Benis – Head of the department of Social work, highlighted on the curriculum designs and the academic performance of the learners. Creative Teaching learning methods were elaborated. Social impact made by the School through Outreach projects on sustainable development projects and mental health promotion programmes. It was very inspiring and gave a deeper understanding of how the skills and knowledge of the Social workers are expanded through the formation. After which an action Song was sung by Volda University Students. They also briefly spoke about them, their context of social work and culture. The Publication of the College was given as momento and the programme ended by Presidential Address Given by the Principal Dr.Juliet C.J. It was good exposure to the young budding professionals.
