On 14th of September, 2022, the Hindi Sahitya Sangh ‘Satrang’ organised the celebration of the Hindi day. This event was held at Maria Paiva hall and the guest of honour was the principal of school of social work Dr. Juliet C. J, in the presence of the Vice Principal, Dr. Jenis Mary and dean student progression, Ms Sarik Ankita. The event was presided by the head of Hindi Department, Dr. Keshava Gowda U. The event began by invoking the blessings of God with a prayer. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the incoming cabinet. The dignitaries were then florally welcomed by Dr Keshava Giowda U and the Hindi students. Following the welcome speech was the inauguration of the ‘Satrang’ fora for the academic year 2022-23. The unveiling of the banner was done by the chief guest, the principal, Dr. Juliet C.J. Following this, the incoming cabinet was installed. The immediate cabinet handed down their responsibilities to the new cabinet presided by Ifra Ayesha , 2nd BA, the vice president elect Vishnu Parayil, 2nd BA, the secretary Minola Saldanha , 2nd BA and the treasurer Saifana Shaikh, 2nd BA. Next, the chief guest addressed the gathering and conveyed best wishes to the cabinet. The formal session came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Saifana Shaikh.

 

 

 

The informal session was inaugurated by a classical dance performance delivered gracefully by Diya Vinoy and Anusree P.K of 2nd BA. The dance performance was followed by a group song led by the secretary, Minola. The group song was accompanied with the waving of flashlights from the audience creating a mesmerising scene. This was followed by games and activities conducted with the help of volunteers. It rejuvenated the audience and unlocked a new chest of fun memories and knowledge. This remarkable day then came to an end.
