“Professionalism” is all about being reliable, setting one’s own standards and showing that you care about every aspect of your job. To create a space where knowledge of professionalism can be shared, the BSW Department in the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K HOD BSW Department organised a wonderful session regarding the same on 09 September 2022 at sharp 11am in the Seminar hall. In total 84 Social work students and Faculty members attended the session. Anna Margaret Jojo of (II BSW) being the Master of Ceremony gave a quick introduction and then Chinnu Skariah (II BSW) and team led the arena into prayer. Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K HOD BSW Department welcomed the gathering.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Jenis Mary, Vice Principal, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya while delivering her key note address also prepared the minds of the attendees for the session. The resource person of the day Dr. Devan, Prof A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences having about 22 years of experience. Prof. Prabhakar Shetty, Mentor and Mr. Paul, Chairman, Global T.V. Mangaluru were the other dignitaries present.

Dr. Devan began the session by telling the meaning and significance of professionalism in each one’s life. He being a great learner, focused and disciplined, believes that communication skill is the fundamental tenet.

He gave an insight on the significance of shaping one’s own mind and body. He discussed all the key points of how to look like a professional and how to be one. Later few questions were asked for which he answered. Jefri. J (II BSW) delivered vote of thanks. The session ended at 12:45pm.
