As an Extension Service Activity BSW Department, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru in association with Spandana Trust®, Jeppu organised a Four days Leadership Training Programme for High School Children at Spandana Trust®, Jeppu from 9th May 2022 to 12th May 2022.

The programme was inaugurated by Sr. Helen Fernandes, Administrator, Spandana Trust®, Mrs. Veena B. K and Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, Assistant Professors, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya and Mr. Victor Vas, Coordinator, Spandana Trust® welcomed the gathering, and MC for the programme was Mrs. Reena D’Souza, Social Worker, Spandana Trust®.

The four days Leadership Training Programme included the theme based activities such as Self Confidence, Self Awareness, Empathy, Goal Setting, Positive Thinking, Concentration, Team Building, Communication skills, Creative thinking, Active Listening. Total 210 High School Students participated in this event. In this training the trainers conducted different types of activities such as Motivational videos, Water Relay, Memory Games, Passing the bottle, Action Songs, Art And Craft, Pick And Act, Chart Presentation, Games, Quiz, Role Play, Focus Group Discussion which helped the trainees to identify their strengths and work effectively with others and cooperate with different types of people and it also helped to develop their Leadership qualities and skills and helped them in preparing for a lifetime of success.

The Leadership Training programme was organised under the leadership of Mrs. Veena B. K and Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, Assistant Professors, BSW Department and the trainers of the leadership training programme were Ms. Grezal Anthon Dsouza, Mr. Manuel Sugesh, Ms. Pinto Shalik Gerald, Ms. Shwetha M, Ms. Ronika R Nair, Ms. Prakrithi V Nayak, , Ms. Brinda, Ms. Meghashree Dhanya, Ms. Anusha, Ms. Jemima Rosalia from final year BSW and from Second year BSW Ms. Anushka K.J, Ms. Soumya, Ms. Suzane Rashel Almeida, Ms. Bhakthi, Ms. Chandini K, Ms. Sinchana D Shetty, Ms. Zainab Shereen.
