On 16th February 2022, Wednesday, BSW Department, Criminology Department - UG and Criminology and Forensic Science - PG Department jointly organized a Webinar on Digital World and Cyber Crime. The resource person for the day was Ms. Sheila Ponnosamy, Operations Director, Mainguard International (S) Pte. Ltd,Singapore. The Chief Guest of the day was Dr Ruksana Hassan, Child Psychologist, Bengaluru. Mr Paulose, Director, Global TV, Mangaluru was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Saritha D'Souza with an introductory remark welcomed the gathering. Presidential address was given by Dr. Jenis Mary, Vice Principal of the College.
Resource person explained about Digital Media, Digital Marketing and Multi Channel Marketing and how people are getting bullied and how we can get rid of the situation. Madam focused more on need to be careful and the need to be prudent enough to handle media in today's world. Mrs. Veena Gupta, Founder, Women Empowerment Safety and Security, Haryana explained about Cyber Crime through examples and requested the students to be alert and careful in this Digital World.

Two Hundred students actively participated and benefited from this Webinar. Assoc. Prof. Vineetha K, Registrar (Evaluation) introduced the resource person and the guests. Vote of thanks was proposed by Varsha Bhat from 3rd BA. Asst. Prof. Sarik Ankitha was in the organizing Committee. Sharanya Shetty from 3rd BSW was the Master of Ceremony.
