An Awareness Programme was organised by the BSW/MSW Department in collaboration with Department of Labour Welfare, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India on "Pension scheme of Government of India for the unorganised workers-Pradhan Manthri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan(PM-SYM) to ensure protection during old age for unorganised workers on Wednesday 5 February 2020 .
As resource persons we had our Alumni Sri Shekhara, Welfare and Cess Commissioner, Department of Labour Welfare, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India and Dr Bhagyalaxmi, Medical Officer,Beedi Workers Welfare Fund Dispensary, Padil,Mangaluru.Dr Ramakrishna Bhat, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Misha Rain, Medical Officer, Deralakatte, Dr Rohini Nayak, Medical Officer, Katipalla and other Staff of the Department cooperated. Dr Juliet presided over and Professor Vineetha Rai coordinated the programme.
