The Department of Psychology organised a field exposure visit for the second year students of Psychology to Kiran Rehabilitation Centre, Padavinangady on 7th and 8th of August, 2018.
The students visited the centre in two batches of eight students each.
Mr Pruthviraj, psychiatric social worker addressed the students. They were assigned in smaller groups to speak to a few inmates for 15 - 20 minutes each.
An interactive session was followed by a brief discussion with the psychiatric social worker. Myths were busted and lot of clarification was sought.
The session was very informative, instructive and a short-term experiential education.
