- The Department of Psychology was identified by Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) as a centre for Psychology Practical training and examination for B.A degree (correspondence). Smitha Shetty V was involved in the contact
- programme of practical training and examination in March 2013.
- The Students / public have availed the counseling services at the SPARSH Counseling centre.
- The Department of Psychology organized ‘I IN ME’ Competition on 2nd July 2013. The competition was open to all the students of the College. There was a good response of 26 participants.
- The Department of Psychology made a short arrangement of meeting a mother and her triplets on the 19th of July 2013. Psychology students of III Semester along with Prof. Sandra Lobo had an opportunity to interact with the mother and the triplets.
- The Department of Psychology screened the documentary ‘In the Womb’ on 19th July 2013 in the Psychology laboratory.
- An Inter Departmental Inter class Folk dance Competition was organized on 23rd July 2013. There was a good response of 8 teams and a packed audience.
- The Department of Psychology organized a Story Writing Competition on 7th August 2013. The competition was open to all the students of the College. There was a good response of 30 participants.
- On 10th August 2013, The Department of Psychology organized a visit to Chethana Child Development Centre on V.T Road, Mangalore for the final year B.A. students accompanied by Prof. Sandra Lobo.
- The Department of Psychology organized a half day field based exposure visit to K.M.C Hospital. The final year Psychology students (35) accompanied by Prof. Sandra Lobo visited the Psychiatry Department of K.M.C. Hospital, Attavar on August 10, 2013.
- The Department of Psychology deputed five interested final year B.A Psychology students to participate in a workshop on Life skills and Neurolinguistic programming (NLP) by Mrs. Shilpa Somnathan held at St. Agnes Centre for P.G Studies & Research organised by the Department of Psychology.
- As part of ‘innovative practices’, the Department of Psychology in collaboration with the Department of English organized an exhibition of tangible, portable forms of visual art on September 24, 2013 in the College Auditorium.
- To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Department of Psychology (1973- 2013), a Regional Workshop on the Psychology of Flow was organized on December 5th 2013. A Memoir titled ‘Cognizance A Recap’ was released. An Inter Collegiate Fest was organized too with St. Aloysius College, Mangalore emerging as Champions of INFLOW 2013.
