The Leos of District 317D commemorated Constitution day on 26th November by taking part in the Model Youth Parliament organized by Lions International 317D, Leo District 317D, Center for Integrated Learning and Nehru Yuva Kendra at the Zilla Panchayat, Dakshina Kannada.

The event was graced by The Chief Guest, District Governor, Lion Sanjieth Shetty, Guest of Honour, CEO Zilla Panchayat, Dr. Kumar and was presided over by District Youth Officer Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sri Raghuveer Souterpet.

District Cabinet Secretary, PV Anil Kumar, District Cabinet Treasurer, Ram Mohan Alva, Chief Co-ordinator District Governors Programs Vijay Vishnu Mayya, Coordinator Empower Youth, Vani Alva, Executive director, Center for Integrated Learning, Sachitha Nandagopal, District Leo President, Kavan Kubevoor and District Leo Coordinator, Preetham Ponnappa were among the other guests who played a role in making this event a successful one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Students were assigned roles of different ministries in a one-day workshop held on November 19. The audience were witness to how well the students had taken up their roles, when they started thumping the tables as appreciation during the inauguration.

All in all, The event was filled with enthusiasm, Witty remarks, Spontaneous comebacks, Orders to maintain decorum and a lot of thumping of tables. Questions were raised and answers were delivered.

Leo District 317D thanks Mr. Nandagopal for this great initiative and opportunity given to the leos to showcase their caliber.

The Leos from Leo Club RMB did a fantastic job and were given the opportunity to present themselves. Leo Saifana Shaikh headed for the position of speaker. Leo Ifra Ayesha headed the role as the leader of the opposition party. Leo Fathima Ahlaam was assigned as the minister for women and child welfare. Leo Sarah Nasir Sheikh headed the position as minister of defense. Leo Khushi was the minister of Madhya Pradesh. We also had Leo Catherine and Leo Shivani who were members of the opposition party. All in all, it was indeed a great experience.
