The Department of Criminology organized a ‘Workshop on Fingerprint examination” for 50 students of Biomedical Science in Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research, Deralakatte, Mangalore college on 17 September 2022. Students were enlightened on the meaning, types of Fingerprint patterns, importance and Principles of Fingerprints, recording of Fingerprints of suspects, and comparison of fingerprints.

A practical demonstration of the development of fingerprints using black powder and grey powder was shown to them.
