The students of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, along with 10 students of Tipu High School and Urdu Higher Primary School and the members of CMC, members of Lions Club, Health Inspectors assembled at Cmc at 8.30 am on the 2nd of October 2019.

The Guests comprised the Municipal Commissioner Ms.Vani Alva, M.H. Malhar the Principal of Tippu High School, KMK Mahanadi, the Principal of Urdu Higher Primary School, Dr. Sneha , President of Kaveri Rotary Club and Mr. Kishore Attavar from School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya.
 
The students representing the School's and Colleges, rode the cycles towards the Mosque nearby and the cycle rally took place near CNC, Ullal that helped spread the awareness of a clean and healthy environment through the banning of plastic.

A Street Play was organised by the 2nd year Msw students of Roshni Nilaya on the theme of water wastage and enlightened the public about water being the elixir of life. Kannada songs portraying the importance of saving water were sung by the students.

The guests for the day were seated on the dias and the Commissioner Ms Vani Alva spoke about the rally that was held and appreciated everyone who had been a part of it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There were health cards distributed to the needy by Ms Vani Alva on the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Then Mr Vasudev Rao and Mr Kishore Attavar had distributed the plants to  promote the need to save trees and plants.

An oath was taken by all to stop using plastic and to make the environment clean, healthy and non hazardous.

As 2nd October is celebrated  as Gandhi Jayanti, the guests of the day garlanded Gandhi's  photo to honour the father of our nation.

This was followed by a small speech on Gandhi Jayanti  by Mr Vasudeva Rao.

Then the vote of thanks was given by the health inspector Mr Jayashankar.
