School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, Jeevasarthakathe and Mohan Foundation holds Symposium on Organ Donation “life begins...at the end” on 8 April 2019 at School of Social Work. Dr.Sachidhananda Rai, President IMA, Mangalore inaugurated the Symposium.

Ms. Manjula K U, Chief Transplant coordinator, Jeevasarthakathe was the key note speaker. She spoke on organ donation and transplantation in Karnataka state.

Ms. Sangeetha Lobo, Transplant coordinator, Indian hospital spoke on social work and organ donation. She highlighted the role played a Transplant coordinator in every hospital and the challenges they face in this field.

The session was followed by Pannel discussion with Ms. Aruna and Ms. Vivet, organ transplant coordinators from KMC Hospital, recipient family, and donar family, how were the part of organ transplantation process.

The Symposium concluding by honouring all of them who shared their experiences on organ donation and brought a new change in society.
