Psycho – Educational Session
The department of MSc Counselling conducted a session at Lourdes Central School on August 11th 2017 for 1st and 2nd PUC students. The topic for the session was Stress Management. The focus was more on coping with stress and anxiety during exams and various methods of learning. The session lasted for 45 mins.
Psycho – Educational Session
The department of MSc Counselling conducted a group session at St. Agnes High School for the students of class 8th. The topics that were included for the session were Anger Management, Interpersonal Relationship and Assertiveness Training. In total there were 80 students that were divided into 6 groups. The session included activities that were related to the topics being discussed.
Thematic Presentation
As a part of the Thematic Presentation Group Counselling session was conducted on various topics like – Inner Beauty, Interpersonal Relationship, Self Esteem, Team work, Conflict resolution, Empathy and Altruism. The session was organised by the MSc Counselling department and was facilitated by 2nd MSc students. The students who were a part of the group session were from 1st and 2nd MSW and MSc Criminology. The session lasted for 45 mins. The session focused mainly on the importance and the ways to develop all the above mentioned topics for their personal growth.
Interactive Session
A session was organised by the MSc department on the 1st of September with Dr. Rose Kamath. It was mainly an interactive session and a lot of sharing that was done by Dr. Rose Kamath about her experiences in counselling and she also emphasized the importance of characteristics of a counsellor and the skills and techniques used in helping the client.
