An extension programme on the topic “Study skills and techniques “was organized by Department of MSc counselling in association with St Aloysius PU College, Mangalore facilitated by 11 II M.Sc. Counselling students on 16th November, 2022. The 80 students of 2nd PU from St Aloysius College Mangaluru actively participated in the session.

The objectives of the session were to build motivation among students to perform better in examinations and to equip students with study skills and techniques. The facilitators explained what motivation is and some ways to enhance motivation and also explained about the different learning styles through VARK model.

The facilitators explained about some of the study techniques that students can make use of to enhance their study skills. The group members were able to relate to the content presented and shared their experience. The outcome of this session was that they became aware of their learning styles which can help them study in better way and learned various techniques that can be made use while studying.
