Holistic Well Being (Counselling) Forum Events

As a part of the orientation programs for the first year MSC students, a session on Conflict Resolution and Management was conducted on the 14th of September in the PG block of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. Ms. Tahani Anwar was the resource person for this session, she focused on giving a brief idea of the types of conflict and how to manage it in case of its occurrence.

The interactive session with activities and discussions comprised of the meaning and definition of conflict, positive and negative aspects of conflict. Furthermore, the participants were asked to enact certain conflicting situations and come up with the storyline of the conflict as well as a solution. This enabled the students to understand conflict management comprehensively. Activities which explain the importance of team building and accommodating the differences were dealt during the session.

Overall the session was well appreciated by the participants as they expressed their joy of having had an enriching learning experience.
