Holistic Well Being (Counselling) Forum Events

Department of M. Sc Counselling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, hosted a National level 5-dayVrtual Workshop on ‘Management of Adolescents Issues’ from 24th to 28th August, 2020. There were 28 participants from various states of India. The course module comprised ‘Understanding the adolescent from cognitive, emotional and psychological perspective, ‘Psychosocial issues of Adolescents, Communicating with Adolescents – for Parents and Teachers’, and ‘Counselling Skills and Strategies.

The facilitators of the workshops were Ms. Rosa Nimmy Mathew; Head of the Counselling Department, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Ms. Preetham Prabhu, Corporate Trainer and Counsellor, and Dr. Wilsy Francis, Assistant Professor of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. The objective of the workshop was to impart knowledge and skills to deal effectively the issues of Adolescents. The session that was held each day was interactive in nature and lasted for one and a half hour. All the five days sessions were well appreciated by the participants and many expressed that, it was an amazing learning experience and they expressed their desire to attend similar workshops in the near future too.
