As a part of academic curriculum, second year students of Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice Specialization accompanied by Mr. Roshan D’Souza, Assistant Professor of Criminology and Forensic Science of the college had been to St. Agnes Special School, Bendore, Mangaluru on Tuesday, 7th June 2022 at 9:30 am.

The main objective of the visit was to learn the functions and services that are provided by the institution to the children of special school. Sr. Shruthi A C, Principal, St. Agnes Special School, Bendore, Mangaluru interacted with the students and explained about the working nature of the school and types of training provided to the children of intellectual disabilities.

The students learnt about the purpose of establishing the institution, types of classrooms such as early interventions, pre-primary interventions, primary and secondary groups, different kinds of intellectually disabled children, subjects taught and vocational training that are provided for the special needs children. There was an opportunity for the students to interact with the faculties and children of the institution. Altogether, 8 students of the college and a faculty benefitted by the visit.
