The Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized a session for first year MSc CFS students on “Research Design” held on 2nd June 2022. Mr. Vajagathali M., Research Scholar, Chattinad Academy of Research and Education, Chennai and also an Alumnus of the institution, who was has been awarded as ‘Young Researcher Award 2021’ by the Institute of Scholars was the resource person.

He provided insights into the research process and concepts of research design. He explained the four categories of research design, its features and types. Further, he spoke about the basic research objectives with examples and explained in detail about the exploratory research design. Students were encouraged and. motivated to conduct research which can be published in UGC care list Journals. As a part of academic curriculum students conduct two separate researches both experimental and field base. This session helped the students to get clear information about the research process and publication of articles.
