Fieldwork trainees placed in Ullal under Zero Waste Management project had a Induction Workshop on 5th October 2017 in Navajeevan Marg Extension Centre.

Ms. Papechua, Principal of the centre was given briefed introduction.

The concept of the sessions was 'what why and how of zero waste management concept and it's application in Ullal CMC, the strength and challenges' and understanding self and source of passion has done by Mr. Kishore Attavar, Director of Extension Service Centre Roshni Nilaya.

The last session taken by Mr. Sheena Shetty, brand ambassador for cleanliness and Mr. Krishna, Janashikshan Trust about experience sharing on the role local self government and challenges of waste management in DK district.

On 6th October 2017 the Sustainable Development students of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya in collaboration with City Municipal Corporation attended an interactive session with regard to the Zero Waste Management Program at Ullal community. Mr. Nikhil Kolape, reporter addressed the gathering with several inputs on reporting and documentation. The participants involved themselves in preparing ward wise rapid appraisal data on waste problems in different wards."

The 3 day Induction Workshop came to an end on 7th Oct, 2017 with the presentation of ward profile by each ward councilors at Ullal City Municipal Corporation.
