1.    Canara Organisation For Development And Peace (CODP) visit
The Community Development scholars along with faculty visited CODP, Mangaluru on 17th July 2017. Mr. Oswald Manteiro Director and Mrs. Shanthi Co-ordinator had oriented about CODP profile.

 

 


2.    Visit to Nirmal Self-help group Ganjimata
Community Development Scholars along with faculty visited Nirmala Self-help group Ganjimata and watershed management Bajpe, on 11th July 2017. Mrs. Lidiya social worker, CODP guided the students and enlightened trainees through her knowledge. The visit exposed the students to the role an functions of the SHGs and sustainable watershed management.

 

 


3.    Dakshin Kannada Zilla Panchayath visit
The community development scholars along with faculty visited the Dakshin Kannada Zilla Pachayath Mangaluru on 12th July 2017. Mr. Gopal Krishna, Assistant secretary and Mr. Basavaraj, District Program Manager addressed structure and functions of the zilla panchayath and trainees acquired the knowledge about E-Digital system.

 


4.    Visit to women and child welfare department Mangaluru
The Community development scholars along with faculty visited the women and child welfare department on 12th July 2017. Mrs Chandrika, development inspector interacted with scholars and had given informative details about the schemes available for women and children’s. The visit exposed the scholars to give schemes information to the people in the community.

 

 


5.    Visit to disability and senior citizen department
The community development scholars along with faculty visited disability and senior citizen welfare department. Mr. Deepu, District Disability Welfare Officer had given detailed information about Schemes available for disability and senior citizens.

 

6.    MCC Visit
The community scholars along with the faculty visited Mangaluru City Corporation on 17th July 2017. Mrs. Malini Rodrigas, Community Affairs Officer, Mrs. Rekha Shetty, and Mr. Chitranjan, community development expert had oriented the students about structure and functions of the MCC. This exposure enlightened the students’ knowledge by their enriching information.
