The team of students visited Gram Panchayat office, Primary Health Centre, Solid and Liquid Resource Management Unit (SLRM), Sanjeevini Tailoring Unit and Government Higher Primary school to assess and study their functioning.

The first SLRM project of Karnataka was inaugurated in Vandse GP by the Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Priyanka Mary Francis on 16 September 2017. The Project aims to convert Udupi district into a garbage-free district. At present, SLRM unit collects, segregates and manages wastes from 7 neighboring Gram Panchayats with a Memorandum of Understanding.

The tailoring unit has trained many young girls and women in and around the Panchayat. It has helped them generate income and empowerment subsequently.
