An alumna of School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya here, Khushbu Verma who represented Dibrugarh Assam in the prestigious national beauty Pageant Mrs India Galaxy 2022 has brought laurels to her state and her city by winning a Silver medal in the 'social work category' at the Grand Finale of India's most prominent Pageant Mrs. India Galaxy held in the national capital New Delhi on August 29.

Khushbu Verma has completed her graduation in social work (BSW) from St Aloysius Degree College, Bengaluru and post graduation in social work (MSW) from School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.

She was also declared among the top 8 candidates in the classical category (under 40) in a star-studded glamorous Grand Finale of the pageant.

In this national beauty pageant organized by Vibrant Concepts 30,000 married women applied from all across the country, 60 were selected as finalists through rigorous auditions, who represented their respective states and cities, in the grand Finale of the beauty Pageant competing in various categories.

 

 

 

 

Khushbu Verma, a professional social worker who joined the pageant to champion the cause of domestic violence not only spread the message of 'stop violence against women' but also begged the glamorous title of "the best walk” in truly celebrating beauty with a purpose.

Khushbu Verma’s fashion designer was Dolly Verma from "Sumitra's Fashion Fantasy" who exhibited her designer clothes in North East Fashion Week in 2020 too.

In the initiation of this beauty peagent journey her niece Nitya Nidhi Verma helped her to complete all my tasks since beginning like styling, makeover, photography, videography, editing etc. Khushbu Verma’s family members mother, brothers, sister in law and sister were very supportive throughout this journey.

In the year 2021, Khushbu Verma participated in fashion show which was held at Bengaluru which opened the door for the beauty peagent, she is planning for an international beauty peagent next year.

The social cause of beauty peagent ‘stop violence against women’ motivated Khushbu to take part in the beauty peagent.

There were three rounds in grand finale of Mrs India galaxy 2022 which included traditional round, ramp walk, western outfit round. She also presented about domestic violence and also spoke about Asamese culture. She also performed glitter art in 30 seconds which was widely appreciated.
