Crimino- Vision is a Forum initiated by the UG Department of Criminology.
Criminology is the study of Crime from a social perspective, including examining who commits crimes, why they commit them, their impact, and how to prevent them. The goal of criminology is to determine the root causes of criminal behaviour and to develop effective and humane means for preventing it. The forum is a means to have an interaction of the students in creating awareness and with all the other aspects of which is dealt in criminology.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To create an interest towards issues related to criminology.
2. To provide a platform to hone their skills at organizing activities and creating awareness about the subject.
3. To be familiar with all the aspects of criminal justice.
4. To provide an opportunity to get an exposure to various fields of criminal justice.
5. To provide an opportunity to get an exposure to recent developments in the fields of study.
MEMBERSHIP OF THE FORUM
The membership of the forum is exclusively for the students of Criminology. However certain activities of the forum are open for the students of the other disciplines as well.
