CHILDLINE: The Institute is the nodal agency for CHILDLINE – a national 24-hour free phone emergency outreach service for children in need of timely help and long term services.
CHILDLINE 1098 is a project of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, undertaken in partnership with NGO’s, UNICEF and the Corporate Sector under the direction of CHILDLINE India Foundation, Mumbai. Functioning in Mangalore at Roshni Nilaya from10th May 2001 , CHILDLINE has been able to reach out to many children.
For the effective functioning and wider coverage of this project a number of meetings and trainings are organized at different levels.

Outreach and Awareness
The following awareness activities have been conducted

Book Distribution Programme: In order to encourage education of children and reduce drop out rate books are distributed to deserving children.
